Louis Barthélemy
I’m delighted to welcome multidisciplinary artist and design Louis Barthélemy to the show this week. Louis designs beautiful works of art, from tapestry to rugs to stained glass and works on paper. He is a passionate exponent of craftsmanship and turns to ancient and trusted techniques to execute his work.
After studying fashion design at Central Saint Martins, Louis worked at Dior before pivoting away from the fashion world after the public departure of designer John Galliano. We talk about Louis’ disillusionment with the fashion industry, and how a cancer diagnosis led Louis to the Middle East.

On our bonus episode for members out next week, Louis tells me about his work philosophy and how he collaborates closely with craftsmen and women while developing his projects.
