Back to school
The end of summer and the start of September always has a ‘back to school’ feel about it for me. It’s a time for planning ahead, thinking about changes I want to make and new routines I want to put in place. It’s a time of renewal, possibility, and change.
I’m looking forward to the 8th season of What I Did Next—from putting the final touches on our guest line-up, working on post-production and even starting to look ahead at what Season 9 will look like.
I’m equally excited to be looking back as well, connecting with previous WIDN guests and seeing what they’ve been up to since our episode. We’ll be sharing these with you soon so stay tuned!
On the home front, we’re gearing up for our son’s last two years of school. Perhaps the hardest and most intense time for any family. We’re also looking to add a new pet as our beloved dachshund, Twix, ages and slows down.
In our last newsletter, I’d shared some of the books I’d been reading through over the summer. I’ve also finished binging a few shows: The Crown & House of Cards on Netflix, Apple TV+’s Presumed Innocent and the music biography In Restless Dreams: The Music of Paul Simon.
And finally, in the podcast world, I continue to be an avid listener of The Rest is Politics (which I suspect will only climb as we near November) as well as Empire and The BoF Podcast; while Wiser than Me with Julia Louis-Dreyfus has recently climbed to the top of my podcast queue. Any other podcasts I should add to this list?
